Summary: WaterNow has no developer account, server, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Hydration data stays in the app's private iOS container. Apple StoreKit and optional local notifications are the only Apple-service boundaries.
WaterNow does not collect personal data. The developer cannot see your hydration entries, goals, beverage choices, reminder times, purchase details, or usage history.
WaterNow stores hydration history and settings in its private app container as a versioned JSON file, with a previous-good local backup for recovery. WaterNow does not provide developer cloud sync or cross-device sync.
Apple may include app-container data in an encrypted device or iCloud backup according to your own Apple backup settings. Those backups are controlled by Apple and your Apple Account; the WaterNow developer cannot access them.
Opening the Pro purchase screen, checking an entitlement, buying Pro, or restoring a purchase may contact Apple through StoreKit. WaterNow receives only product and entitlement results needed to unlock the one-time purchase. The developer does not receive payment-card information.
WaterNow can schedule optional local hydration reminders. Permission is requested only after you explicitly enable a reminder or add a custom time. WaterNow has no push-notification server and sends no remote notifications.
WaterNow does not use HealthKit and does not request camera, location, contacts, microphone, photo-library, or App Tracking Transparency permission.
